FSSAI Lic. No. 22126688000156. Manufactured and marketed by Sifat Gold Organics, Village Ubhawal, Dist. Sangrur (148001).
Made from churned butter.
Milk is the only ingredient.
Lab tested and original.
Named for churi and panjiri.
The bilona method
Bilona ghee goes through curd and butter first, so it takes longer than ghee boiled straight from cream.
Fresh milk goes into clay pots over an open fire.
The milk is set into curd.
The curd is churned until the butter separates.
The butter is heated slowly, then sealed in glass jars.

In the kitchen
Crumble a hot roti with ghee and shakkar.
Roast atta in ghee with dry fruits for the winter months.
Heat a spoon with jeera and chilli, then pour it over dal.
Cook them on the tawa for a crisp, golden finish.
Sooji halwa and karah prashad start with good ghee.
